Wildflower meadows Mount Baker views Open ridge walking

Technical Notes

One of the best wildflower hikes in Washington. Trail climbs through forest then opens to expansive meadows along a high ridge with views of Mount Baker, the San Juan Islands, and the North Cascades. Road to trailhead is rough (FR-37). Snow on trail into mid-July. No shade on the ridge — bring sun protection.
