Technical Notes

Extremely steep and relentless — one of the hardest day hikes near Seattle. Not an official trail: unmaintained, loose rocks, exposed roots, vertical scramble sections near the summit. Popular as a conditioning hike. Bring trekking poles. Trail is slippery when wet. No switchbacks — goes straight up.
