Technical Notes

Beautiful trail through old growth forest to an alpine lake in a stunning cirque. Trail passes several waterfalls. Can be muddy and has log crossings. Very popular — arrive early on weekends. Snow on upper trail into June. Great year-round hike to the lower section. Research Natural Area — stay on trail.
