Technical Notes

Most popular summit route on Mount Baker. Requires glacier travel skills, crevasse rescue knowledge, and roped team techniques. Approach via Heliotrope Ridge, then onto Coleman Glacier. Cross the Roman Wall to the summit. High camp at ~7,000 ft. 2-day trip minimum. Climbing permit required from USFS. Crevasse danger on Coleman Glacier, especially late season.
